Just Max and Me

What a fun day yesteday was.  Jerime decided to go fishing with his uncle and needed to leave Thursday night, so that left me to the kids by myself.  I decided I'd use the opportunity to spend some time with my Maximillion.  Thadeus had the option of hanging out too, but he opted for daycare (simply because they have swim time and he had been looking forward to it all week.)  I dropped Thadeus off at daycare and off went Max and mama...a fun adventure.  First stop: Warner Robins, Georgia.  I found a great place to get my hair cut/colored during my lunch break and I made the decision weeks ago that Elizabeth would give Max his first hair cut.  Yes, little boy Max is three!  He turned three on July 8 and it was now time for his first hair cut.  What a sweetie he is.  He sat up in that chair like a big boy.  He would look in the mirror at himself and smile a pretty half smile.  He was happy to be getting a hair cut.  The first little snips were so exciting as I watched his hair bounce up into little curls.  I was so happy.  Thadeus lost all curl when he got his first haircut!  So it was a fun and special day.
Unluckily for me, I needed to report to work or a little while.  Two septic inspections were due so I took Max with me.
The first install was a brand new system.  Max had fun throwing dirt clods of Greenville eroded (75 min/in-yeah right) into the Infiltrator trench.  The clods made an echo sound as they hit the black domed stuff.  Fun.
The next install was a repair.  When we arrived the contractor was in the process of cutting the old absorption field conveyence pipe.  As he cut it the nasty water ran out of the pipe and Max looked at me and said, "mama, that smells like stinky garbage!)  haha.  So my second son got a little glimpse into my life as a health inspector.
We left Warner Robins to make another stop by the books store.  Max found a flip phone there and of course I couldn't resist the purchase when Max looked up at me with those precious little curls around his ears.  So I bought him the flip phone and bought Thadeus an alphaberry toy.

It was a fun day.  I'm so glad I got to spend some one on one time with my second son...the one who tells me, "mama, I'm not a baby any more.  I'm a big boy."
