Sometimes you just hope for a quick weekend

Should I really discuss work on here?  Not really.  Am I gonna?  A little bit...
So what a week.  As a mommy you must learn to turn off the mommy and go to work and be the boss and likewise for when mommy's return to work.  But this week it was hard.  And it all started about a month ago.  It started when a gentleman decided he didn't really like the process he has to go through when requesting a well waiver.....the complaint went to a county commissioner.  Then a former governor decided to test the system and yet, another county commissioner called.  Then a restauranteur decided why should he have to pay an annual fee on time.....that went to the official Board, which resulted in a committee meeting...the first complaint went to yet another meeting where I learned that now the commissioners want to test the system and challenge the loading rate calculation used by EPD for non-mixed use sewage treatment....OSHA called wanting to know our process for indoor quality complaints and found out quite quickly that no one agency really addresses that issue in georgia...and I won't even go there....my light in my office started coming down.  Thank you Houston County for fixing that!  GEEZ.  PMF's are due and they are TOTALLY late.  I HAVE 9 of them to do...plus their MRF's!!!  So what does one do?  Well, toward the end of this past week it all built up.  I had to attend a training class which I ended up excelling in to get my certification...woopeee...but that did not mean that the above was over.  In the past TWO weeks, we had THREE pool plan review issues that has come up and my pool program lead is not totally up to speed on pools although I can tell he will be most excellent.  The good thing is....all my staff are wonderful.  They take care of me.  Even though I didn't sleep well for the last three days, and my face began breaking out due to the stress... I was able to go home to my sweet family and get the best hugs and kisses that I could find....and let me tell you, they are good.  I just wish I had a hot tub.

potty time?

Okay, Max is two years, five months old.  I think I'll wait another month but I did try the potty game today.  Ended up washing about 8 pairs of training pants!  The first time, Max went to the potty, places his tiny fingers on his wee-wee, stretches it out as he is looking over his little pot belly and says, "PeeeeeeePeeeee, coooooooome ooooooooooout."  Then, he looks up at me and whispers, "mama, it not coming out yet.  I done."

Nice.  He had several tries but failed miserably.  Oh well.

Today my boxes of Keurig coffee were delivered.  It is so yummy....and I'm glad to have this new one-cup device to fancy my travel cup on my long commutes.  65 miles for one way?  What am I thinking?

Happy 2012

The year my boy starts big boy school!  That's on my mind now. I have to say I'm excited and sad.  My baby is not a baby anymore.  Okay, on to other topics...
It was a great Christmas.  The best yet for the boys.  They had a lot of fun opening presents and I really enjoyed spending time with the family.  That is the best part for me.  I'm blessed to live so close to my family!
Today, Thadeus helped with chores.  Today's first real Chore was to load up the washing machine.  We sorted the clothes and he put the clothes, detergent and slammed the door shut.  Thadeus was very excited which made me happy.  He then enjoyed placing the clothes into the dryer.  I made him do it all, and he really enjoyed it--which I will hold over his little head for a life time....ha!

Bath Time Fun

Max stayed in the tub so long tonight that his little hands pruned up...I did not notice until I was putting his diaper on and he started screaming, "mommy, mommy, dirty, dirty, dirty.  Not clean."  I looked down at his hands to find that they were very clean and pruned up.  He had to show Daddy his wrinkly little hands!

Christmas...this year

Wow, so my tree is still drinking water. I spent 20 bucks on the fir and she is still soft and not dead as a wedge. Yeah, mama and my sisters called my tree--wimpy but I don't care--she is a beaut to me! The boys enjoy taking of its ornaments and placing them back on--I'll take a more picture of her later. My camera battery needs charging.

Thadeus has mentioned several times that he hopes Santa will bring a skateboard. Now we have no idea really where he is getting this idea of a skateboard from--and quite frankly, I'm afraid, very afraid...but I feel very confident that Santa will bring him one. Helmet not included. hmmm.

anyway, we were sitting at the table eating our dinner and Max was misbehaving at the dinner table....Jerime said, "now Max, you better behave because Santa is watching and he just may not bring your any toys." Thadeus says, "yeah, or me a skate board." and then looks to his dad and says, "any daddy a boat!" That was hilarious because Jerime has been thinking of getting a boat and talked a good bit about it...and so I guess Thadeus has been listening afterall.

So Max is not eating..and I finally discover he has just gotten in his bottom 2yr molars...

We were going to ride to the Rock, GA to see the pretty lights but after Max gagged twice and almost threw up...I thought it was not a good idea to get into the new Enclave for a throw up session. He never did throw up...but that sure was weird.

I'm nervous about taking Thadeus by the school tomorrow so that he gets evaluated by the public school system but after he has been getting frownie faces at preschool-(preK in daycare) I've decided to take action. I'm placing him on the waiting list for Georgia PreK tomorrow. I'm just so upset with this daycare...they cannot give him the attention he needs. I think I'm more angry at myself for deciding not to move forward with the public school system afterall. When he gets into school, I have no idea how our family will juggle getting Max to Griffin for daycare and Thadeus to Lamar County for school...I'm supposed to be at work by 7:30 in WARNER ROBINS every morning. But daggum it, my kids come first. It is so hard being a working mom and trying to do it all. I know deep down this is the best decision for my boys and I hope they will understand...I will just have to manipulate my schedule so that I can be with them more. I pray every day..but I really do think that this God's plan for me is on track. I will know eventually why things have happened the way that they have. "Dear God, bless this family and lead me to be the best working mother I can be. Thank you for blessing my life with the most wonderful husband in the world and the two bestest boys one could ever have."

money and lipstick

As we are back on our way home after dropping off Max to swim lessons, Thadeus says, "mama, I got some money for my bank."
"Thadeus!!!" I said. You cannot go through my purse.
Later, I turned back and saw scribble mark all around his mouth. "Thadeus, what is on your mouth...is that lipstick," I asked.
"Yes," he said.
"Where did you get it?"
"From your bag."

LOL
